Once again the girls left the session happy, after the Origami and goal setting.... some much needed work still to be done on grasping the fundamentals of setting goals but it's early days and everything comes with practice!

Well done girls #Teens2Queens

The girls had a wonderful time, happy to be back after the lockdown this was the first session back and we had all new recruits. Everyone is looking forward to the next session.

The girls discussed their experiences with racial discrimination and what they would have done if they were in the position of  Claudette Colvin, they expressed their joy at learning black history and about people they never knew about. The other Role Models they learnt about today was Benjamin Banneker and Bessie Coleman. Plus the History of The Black Wall Street.

The Girls continued with Black History into November as there was so much to pack in, this month they learned about local Hero's & Shero's in there own City of Birmingham, Plus some tips on starting their own Family Tree and finally a little end of year pampering with Skincare and Make-up tips /Demo's and of course they got to try own makeover skills themselves. The Girls all expressed their enjoyment.

We started off the New Year with the Business module and a few new girls. The girls engaged in exercises to think about their dream desires, what makes them happy, what's their passion, what goals do they have etc, and whether this could potentially become a business. The girls verbal feedback was very positive, they enjoyed the written and group work. Parents also gave feedback on how well received the programme was and how much their daughters enjoyed it and can't wait for the next session.
